Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon was found dead early Tuesday morning while police were searching for him after losing contact with him.
It has been seven hours since Mayor Park's daughter reported her disappearance to the police. A police official confirmed that Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon was found dead. Police found Park's body near Sukjeongmun while searching the area around Bukaksan Mountain, where Park was last seen. As of 12:20 p.m., two ambulances reportedly arrived near Waryong Park and the Furniture Museum in Seongbuk-dong.

The police search began at 5:17 p.m. the previous day when Mayor Park's daughter reported to the police that her father left the house four to five hours ago with the same words as his will, but the phone was turned off.
Park's final track record is known as a mobile phone base station near Seongbuk-dong. Police and fire authorities have been searching the area overnight to find out where Mayor Park is.
The mortuary will be set up at Seoul National University Hospital.
