37 countries, including South Korea, China, Japan, the Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand, which are located in the west of the Pacific Ocean, belong to the Western Pacific region. More than 25% of the world's population lives in this area.
The number of confirmed cases in the Western Pacific region in the nine weeks was 3,895,780, 46% compared to the previous week, and the death toll was 5,907, 29% compared to the previous week.
