Choi Yena Releases New Single "A Rare Girl"… Reinterpreting Block B’s Song Sparks Interest

Features NOWIMYOUNG; Out at 6 PM on the 2nd

Break News Reporter Park Dong-je = Singer Choi Yena (YENA) is making a comeback with her new song "A Rare Girl."

According to her agency YH Entertainment on the 2nd, Choi Yena will release her new digital single "A Rare Girl (Feat. NOWIMYOUNG)" at 6 PM that day across various online music streaming sites.

"A Rare Girl" is a reinterpretation of a song originally released by the group Block B in 2014. The lyrics, which capture the fluttery tension of a romantic "push-and-pull" dynamic between a man and a woman, are brought to life through the trendy vocal tones of Choi Yena and NOWIMYOUNG.

Choi Yena previously heightened anticipation for the official release by performing the song early at her encore concert, "2026 YENA ENCORE LIVE <A World Beyond Reach, Starting from a Square: The Movie Version>."

Choi Yena is demonstrating steady growth as a solo artist; she has achieved success on global platforms—such as entering major domestic music charts and reaching 100 million streams on Spotify with her hit song "Catch Catch"—and has successfully held solo concerts. Recently, she won the Female Solo Artist Award at the "2026 SKA" and the Artist of the Year Award at the "2026 TMA."

Meanwhile, Choi Yena's new digital single "A Rare Girl" is available for listening on various online music streaming sites starting at 6 PM on the 2nd.
